High Bar Pottery is the work of Sandra Kosinski. Sandra studied Ceramics, Glass and Metals at California College of the Arts. She earned a BS with High Honors in Ceramic Science and Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and an MS in Physics and Materials Science from Stevens Institute of Technology. Sandra worked as a Physicist and Materials Scientist for over 30 years at Bell Labs, Kodeos Communications, New Jersey Institute of Technology and as a Consultant. She has exhibited her ceramics at The Center for Visual Arts of NJ, The Long Beach Island Foundation for the Arts and Sciences, The Clay Studio Of Philadelphia, Lucent Bell Laboratories, and the Center for Contemporary Art. She received an Award of Merit for her booth at Art at the Oval in Livingston, NJ in 2008, third place in The Small Works Juried Exhibition at The Long Beach Island Foundation for the Arts and Sciences in 2008 and Awards at The Members and Faculty Show at The Long Beach Island Foundation for the Arts and Sciences in 2009, 2011, and 2013 through 2021. Sandra’s work has been selected for the Small Favors Juried Show at the Clay Studio in Philadelphia in 2014 and 2015 and Ten by Ten an invitational Cup show. Her Naked Raku Orb was recently exhibited at the Center For Contemporary Arts International Juried Show in Bedminster, NJ. Currently her work: Blowfish Garden Sculpture is being exhibited in the Members' Non-Juried Show & Sale and was selected for the Ceramics Award of Excellence by Juror Tim O'Connor, Executive Director of the DuCret School of Art. Her work is held in collections in the US and more than 8 countries around the world. Sandra is represented by Wildflowers Too Gallery in Barnegat Light, NJ.
